If you could recreate any song (play any instrument, or sing it in a different way), which song would you choose?

Imagine you’re releasing your first cover song- which would you pick?

Or else you’re auditioning for American/Canadian Idol. What would you sing?

(I’m just thinking of which song I should take a hit at if I ever audition, but please make your own suggestions!)

I would sing an acoustic-rock version of Soulja Boy’s Crank That. I think that would be a pretty cool interpretation.

I think that’s an interesting idea… it’s important not to do something boring and obvious that’s already been done a lot, you have to make a personal interpretation.

Any more ideas? Anyone?
